The Molecular Digital Twin
A digital twin of one biomolecule. Travel from the cuvette down to the electron orbitals of a single protein; change temperature, pH and sequence and watch the shapes, the stability and the spectrum move; run a simulated instrument and see the twin correct itself. Real protein structures from the Protein Data Bank and measured fluorescent-protein spectra from FPbase; the stability and the instrument are synthetic and labelled as such.

Cut a branch of a growing antler, shed the whole antler, and the next one grows the cut. The memory cannot live in the antler. The same question for an industry after a recession: three candidate stores grown side by side on one site, wounded and cast; the US casts of 2008 and 2020 measured on 2,900 metro-industry cells from BLS QCEW; and a hashed forecast for 2026, written before the data exist, that the page will score against itself.

Decide what to measure next. An agent runs a fluorescence instrument on a simulated cell: it turns an intent into lasers, filter bands, exposures and lifetime gates, re-plans as the dyes bleach, stops when it knows enough, and is compared with the fixed protocol at equal light dose. At the hours scale it learns which cells to watch. Real spectra and lifetimes from FPbase; the physics and every assumption written out.
